This study group is only available to Optometrists who are current members of Australian College of Syntonics (ACS) and The College of Syntonic Optometry (USA) CSO. This study workshop will be FREE to current members of the Australian College of Syntonics (ACS) and will have a charge of AUD$25 per person to current financial CSO members. Participants need to submit relevant cases at least three days before the conference\, for Simon to review your findings and prepare a guide for the attendees with further discussion at the meeting. Some of the topics covered will include history of Syntonics\, light as part of the electromagnetic spectrum\, light and the neurophysiology as well as colour and its influence on vision\, colour field mapping. From this you can diagnose and develop treatment plans catered to the needs of the individual. More specifically we will cover: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMore specifically we will cover: \n\nBoth practical education and theoretical knowledge including understanding the history of Optometric Phototherapy as well as the basic concepts.\nThe anatomy and neurology of the nonvisual image forming pathways.\nOptometric tests required for the diagnosis followed by the treatment protocols\, as well as sample case study presentations.\nThe four basic syndromes and their treatment protocols. These will provide treatment for 80% of your patients.\nHow to incorporate Syntonics into your vision therapy programs and practice management.\nEnsuring you will have the information to start syntonic therapy in your practice as soon as possible.\nPhotobiomodulation; the impact of light on the physiology of the body and locally on the eye\nHow Chronobiology\, the study of environmental or specific lighting has profound biological effects on our patients.\nDemonstrations\, workshops and case studies on the impact of Syntonics.
